Sarah had been working as an ITN certified Health Coach for about a year when she felt like she needed a new and exciting approach to how she was marketing herself.
She had learned about collaboration during her ITN studies and knew that there were some like-minded health professionals in her area that she could work well with.
So, she decided to reach out and work on building relationships in order to collaborate and create amazing offerings for her clients and her community.
COLLABORATE TO CREATE SUCCESS
At ITN, we thrive on collaboration! We know that we can’t do it all alone and we depend on the intelligence and resourcefulness of our team members.
Collaboration is an essential ingredient to the organizational survival and success of our business. Once you start collaborating, you’ll begin to see the important role it plays and how it can help your business to grow quickly!
Plus, it’s a fun way to work with others, cultivate new ideas, and attract a new audience!
COLLABORATE LIKE A PRO
There are many ways to collaborate and how you do it all depends on your business model and how you want to work with others. Here are two ways to use collaboration to help your business flourish!
PARTNER COACHING
One example of collaboration comes in the form of partner coaching! Partner coaching is when you pair up with another coach and provide coaching together.
There are many ways that you can bring your skills together to compliment one another, such as:
- combine different aspects of working within the same niche
- offer different skills during the coaching sessions
- bring together different niches to offer a whole new experience to your clients
The whole point of coaching is to provide the client with an in-depth experience where they grow and transform.
They are getting the benefit of and the pleasure of learning and being guided by the wisdom of two coaches, instead of one.
Working together, you’ll bring more to your client experience than if you were to coach them alone. It’s a win-win situation for both you, your clients, and your partner!
COLLABORATING WITH HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS
Another way to practice collaboration in your coaching business is to collaborate with other healthcare professionals on your client’s behalf.
As a Health Coach is it essential to develop and use excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
Your business’ success or failure is based on your ability to effectively communicate with prospective and active clients, staff, colleagues, business associates, and other health care practitioners.
Knowing how to serve your client best comes when you learn to listen, effectively communicate, and begin to trust your intuition.
Your role as the coach is to become a partner in the healing process and to take a collaborative role with your clients. This role supports clients in making lifestyle and behavior changes to promote overall health and well-being.
Many diseases are complex with physical, mental, and spiritual roots. To overcome many conditions, your clients may need additional care that you cannot provide.
WORK WITH THESE PROS
Your clients may need support from the following types of health care practitioners:
- general physicians
- nurse practitioners
- physician assistants
- physiotherapists
- naturopathic doctors
- cardiologists
- gastroenterologists
- endocrinologists
- allergists
- counselors
- eating disorder specialists
- exercise therapists
- personal trainers
- social workers
- spiritual leaders
These are all wonderful partnerships to have to assist your client in healing and finding mental, physical, psychological, and spiritual health! Plus, it’s a great way to be exposed to new clients!
When other healthcare professionals and Health Coaches communicate with one another to best serve the client, the client receives consistent recommendations that can be supported by both practitioners.
The more information available to both of you, the better you can coordinate your clients’ care and support.
COLLABORATION FOR THE WIN
When Sarah started to collaborate, she saw her business explode and was able to focus on serving her clients with her expertise!
By collaborating with other health professionals in her community (and online), Sarah found new, exciting ways to offer her services, increase her income, and ultimately create more success!
