“The world’s best health coaching certification program”, huh?
Well, that’s a big ol’ claim right off the bat. Allow me to explain…
Several years ago, I went down a bit of a rabbit hole.
You see, nutrition, food, and spirituality saved my life.
When I hit rock bottom, it was food and my understanding of how to nourish my body, mind, and soul that ultimately saved me from myself.
Through two nutrition certification programs and numerous other classes and trainings, I had the information I needed to heal my body and heart.
I also had a booming practice and business where I was able to help so many others who had felt hopeless, worthless, and defeated by their own health issues and I decided that I wanted to take it one step further.
I wanted to give back. To create a program that would teach others how to do what I had been able to do – only I wanted it to be easier, less expensive, and more effective.
I wanted to help others heal, let go of their past pain, embrace health, and truly transform, so I created the Institute of Transformational Nutrition, the world’s only health coaching certification program that combines the science of nutrition, psychology, and spirituality in simple and practical ways to truly create transformation.
As ITN was growing, I started to notice that the health coaching industry had gotten a bit out of control. I saw so many programs popping up that weren’t based in deep-rooted science and nutrition but rather focused on high-level topics like habit change, green smoothies, and movement. The information simply wasn’t practical for coaches to use with clients because most clients could easily Google the information and find what they were looking for, no coach needed.
What’s more, coaches were so confused. They received a lot of theoretical information but had no idea how to put it all together. The actual science of nutrition wasn’t deep enough for them to have a real grasp of how the body works and what it needs to truly thrive. So, at the end of their 6-month or yearlong certification program, they simply didn’t feel confident enough to coach.
They also didn’t understand how to build a real business. Again, they received basic information – how to set up a website, create coaching programs, and use social media – but no one told them how to tie it all together. They simply didn’t understand the “must have” factors that would determine whether or not they were successful. Again, the coaches were left with zero confidence.
Many of the coaches I spoke with took business trainings by other experts and continued to invest thousands of dollars in their education to get up to speed.
I suspect these issues exist in health coaching certification programs for a few reasons…
And this is where the cliffhanger comes in.
Just as this was a very long journey, it’s also a very long blog post. So, I’ll be sharing it in bite-size chunks.
