Have you ever hosted a “meet-up”?
Whether you’re a seasoned Health Coach, fresh graduate, or thinking about becoming a Health Coach, using online meet-ups to help you grow your business is a no brainer!
Seriously!
The amount of information you can get out into the world via a meet-up is not only massive but efficient and can be a fun way to reach a new audience and serve your current audience!
Meet-ups are basically presentations or talks that people listen to and view on the web and can be conducted by either a PowerPoint presentation or a video of the presenter or presenters!
Yes, we’re basically talking about webinars. We like to call them meet-ups because it sounds more like a hangout than a suit-and-tie kind of presentation! (It’s all about relatability, friends!)
INCOME AND EXPOSURE
Meet-ups can either be free or paid content! What you charge for your meet-ups will vary depending on your goal! (Hint: get clear on the goal and intention of your meet-up right away!)
Many people offer these as free content to sign people up for their paid programs! (Great idea!)
However, many people are also willing to pay for a meet-up! Once you have your audience on your meet-up, you can still use it to upsell them into your other programs or offers.
The key to a successful meet-up is to keep the price reasonably low so that it’s accessible to everyone.
Pricing varies anywhere from $7 to $47 depending on the content, how long the meet-up is, and what you will deliver.
It also depends on whether or not you are using the webinar as a marketing tool to sell them into a larger program.
In other words, if the meet-up doesn’t contain a lot of actionable takeaways but sells your audience into a larger program, then it might be better offered as a free training.
If, however, it does offer valuable training and additional resource guides or even a follow-up coaching call, you can price it a bit higher! (Hopefully, you’re starting to get a few ideas!)
Hosting a meet-up offers several benefits and opportunities! Let’s check some of them out!
8 BENEFITS OF HOSTING A MEET-UP
1. EASY TO CREATE AND DELIVER
You don’t have to be a creative genius or a tech wiz to host a valuable meet-up! In fact, you can do it with minimal effort or knowledge of how to run a computer… okay, maybe not to that extent!
However, all you really need for a meet-up is an internet connection, a computer, YOU, and some excellent content! (Which if you’re an ITN graduate you already have loads of!)
Decide whether you want to do a video meet-up, slides, or both!
If you’re doing a video meet-up, all you need to do is position your beautiful/handsome face towards the camera and share your knowledge!
Want to stay off the camera and focus on slides? Great! Use an easy and free tool like Canva to create some beautiful slides, download them, and voila, you have your presentation slides ready to go!
You can use an online video platform like Zoom (free), or there are loads of other platforms that you can pay a low rate for! Either way, these platforms are super user-friendly and affordable!
2. INFORMATION-PACKED
Meet-ups allow you to share all of your best information! (You probably know this by now but giving your audience your best information up front is how you make them a customer!)
Hosting a meet-up gives you plenty of time to share who you are, what you’re all about, and how you can help them. Plus, any other valuable information you want to share.
Because these tend to be 30 minutes or longer, you won’t feel rushed in sharing all of your goods!
3. LOW-COST
Like we mentioned above, meet-ups can actually be free to host! If you choose to pay for a platform, it still tallies up to be a low-cost way to get information and your offerings in front of your audience!
You could host a webinar for free or even as low as $25 with a platform like ClickMeeting!
4. BUILD TRUST AND AUTHORITY
Even in the age of computers and online relationships, people still love to see faces! When your audience and potential clients can actually see your face and hear your voice live, they will be more likely to trust you!
Meet-ups are an excellent way to build the “know, like, and trust” factor.
Free meet-ups are also a great way to build trust, as your audience will feel more relaxed knowing that they don’t have to buy something before getting to know you.
By hosting a meet-up and offering valuable information, you’re setting yourself up as an authority figure in your niche.
Be confident in the information you share and your audience will begin to see you as a knowledgable and credible coach in your industry.
5. UNDERSTAND YOUR AUDIENCE
Meet-ups are a great way to get to know your audience! It gives you the opportunity to hear their pain points directly from them and offer them a solution!
It’s easy to assume you know what’s going on in your niche or what people are looking for, but being face to face with them and hearing it directly from their lips is the best way to tailor programs and offerings to fit their needs.
Use your meet-ups to get input and feedback from your client! Listen to what they are saying, and you’ll be certain to get the insight you need to create an irresistible offer!
6. BUILD YOUR LIST
Wanna know yet another reason we love meet-ups?
Meet-ups are a unique way to build your email list! By having people opt-in to your meet-up, you’re also getting their email for a followup sequence, and future promotions!
It’s a slam dunk!
Not only are you getting to know them via your meet-up, but you’re also getting access to their inbox so that they can get to know you better and continue building that relationship with you!
7. GET STARTED ALREADY
We can hear you saying, “Well, this is all great for someone with a thriving business!” We say, “False!”
Hosting a meet-up is a great and easy opportunity for new Health Coaches and seasoned Health Coaches alike!
You don’t have to have a certain amount of success in your business to host a meet-up! In fact, hosting one when you’re just getting started is by far one of the smartest moves you can make!
So our challenge for you, wherever you are in your business, is to host a meet-up already! (You can send us a “thank you” later!)
8. ADDED INCOME
Another benefit to hosting a meet-up is that you can make a little extra cashola!
Whether you charge $7 or $47 for your meet-up, you’ll be able to make a little money! Maybe it’s just enough to pay for your platform, or perhaps it’s enough to buy you that lighting kit you’ve had your eye on!
No matter what the amount is, hosting a paid webinar can be a great way to bring in some extra income and improve your money mindset!
