ITN STUDENT SUCCESS: BRANDI MCKENZIE
Meet ITN graduate, Brandi MacKenzie, CTNC!
Brandi is on a mission to help women discover greater self-awareness and inner transformation!
She’s an authentic coach and has allowed her health journey and purpose to guide her in every step she takes.
Over the years, she’s discovered her mission: to be an anchor for her clients, help them to rediscover their true selves, and teach them to find their “Soul Voice”.
Brandi explains the “Soul Voice” as being “…your compass. It is your truth. It is you.”
Let’s dive into what Brandi is all about, her story, what she’s up to, and how you can learn from her!
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN COACHING?
I have been officially coaching since 2014 but using the perspectives of coaching in my work since 2006.
WHO DO YOU WORK WITH?
I help sensitive women follow their Soul Voice toward more trust, connection, and confidence.
TELL US YOUR STORY?
My ITN journey began after working as a holistic chef and yoga instructor for many years.
It had always been a dream of mine to help people in a deeper way than I could through “just” movement or cooking — I wanted to help people with their mindset around health and their value to have the life (and body) that felt aligned and perfect for them.
I healed myself from Crohn’s disease and learned that rebalancing my body was about far more than just food.
Following my intuition, instead of what everyone else told me to do, made the most impact on my health.
From the moment I began coaching, I knew that I was digging deep with my clients, going into places they weren’t used to, and while the coaching was labeled around gut health, I was helping them uncover their own limiting beliefs and disconnections.
Doing the deep work with them gave them the strength to be more aware and in tune with their bodies!
It offered incredible results of restoring vitality in their bodies (such as balancing autoimmune symptoms and overcoming food addictions) while also building trust in themselves — to choose what to eat, to know they could heal, and to live a more aligned life.
Over the years, my coaching conversations became less and less about food and more about following an inner connection.
As I worked with women to trust themselves and their intuition, I found that there was something “behind” that intuition that was driving them powerfully in their lives, something I came to call our “Soul Voice”.
I found that while my clients knew about and connected with their Soul Voice, they had a hard time following it.
So, it became my mission to help women follow this inner voice, without guilt, without shame, without hesitation.
I believe that following your Soul Voice is a matter of life and health, and it’s my mission to help women do so!
WHAT ARE YOUR BIGGEST SUCCESSES AS A HEALTH COACH?
I created a signature program that helped a lot of people change their perspective on food and healing.
That program then became a book, which will finally be out this year!
I then allowed myself to take a step back from my business when I began experiencing some health challenges, and reassess how I want to do my work in the world.
With this new vision, I created the service offerings that I have been dreaming about for some time and sold my first five-figure package this year! #celebrate
HERE’S WHAT BRANDI HAS TO SAY ABOUT BEING AN ITN GRADUATE
When I first “stumbled upon” ITN, I had been looking for a way to take my work deeper. When I read that the pillars of the ITN program were science, psychology, and spirituality, I actually cried. I knew I had found my next step and I also knew that it was no coincidence that it had taken me so long to find this perfect program.
I had been searching for a way to truly help my clients transform their health and their lives, and to me, that meant doing more than telling them what to eat. I knew that this curriculum of science, psychology, and spirituality was THE way to do the work I wanted to do in the world. It was a way to offer true and lasting transformation to my clients.
From the moment I enrolled, I felt excited and encouraged by the content and the community. Although I had a background in nutrition and spirituality (and had already worked with a business coach) before enrolling, the program pushed me to do more of my own work and explore more ways to offer transformation to my clients. Meaning, I thought I knew this stuff, but was able to take it even deeper. Receiving my certification from ITN gave me so much confidence to be a coach because I knew I could help people with this training.
Over the last five years of watching the ITN programs and community grow, I continue to be awed. I have never been part of a community more engaged and ready and willing to lift each other up in support. The community is a place where authentic encouragement is always present. And, it makes me proud to be an alumnus.
It has inspired me to give back to this community by being on the Student Advisory Board and being a mentor for new students. And, I am always telling people to check out ITN when they are interested in learning about nutrition. I have never seen a more comprehensive approach to healing through nutrition, and I have never seen a team more committed to growth than ITN. From the founder to the additional instructors to the support team and staff, there are no loopholes. I have seen other programs intimately and know that there is nothing else like this out there. It is why this community is so successful!
Because of that, I know with ITN I will always be getting more. There are always new ideas coming through the community and the curriculum because Cynthia is on the cutting edge of this material. I find it very inspiring. So, you might just call me an ITN superfan, but I genuinely love it!
