HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN COACHING?
I have been coaching for about nine years in the city of Boston.
WHO DO YOU WORK WITH?
I am a gypsy at heart, so it has been hard for me to commit to one thing. I love coaching group fitness classes, teaching, strength training, and empowering clients to make better decisions around food, meal prep, macros, and the fit4method.
If I had to narrow it down, I most enjoy teaching a balanced approach to eating via the fit4method, meal prep, and strength training/bodybuilding.
TELL US YOUR STORY
I have been coaching and teaching fitness and wellness in Boston for the past nine years, but I have always been passionate about health — even when I was young.
I can remember being obsessed with all the big-time celebrity trainers like Jillian Michaels, Billy Blanks, and Tony Horton back in the day.
My dad instilled the need to move and exercise when we were young. He would have us all workout together as a family.
We would have our own station with a bodyweight movement, and when he told us to switch, we would rotate! He had us doing interval training or HIIT before it was a thing!
My passion is health because I truly believe it is the one thing that no one can take away from you, and only you can invest in.
No one else can do the work for you. You have to choose to show up for you and to make those changes to want a live a better life.
My experience with coaching movement for so long has taught me that a lot of people were missing the mindset and nutrition component. So, my passion has transitioned into helping people create a solid foundation for their health using food to fuel their body and mind!
WHAT ARE YOUR BIGGEST SUCCESSES AS A HEALTH COACH?
I have been working with clients one-on-one and in group settings for the past seven years now. The one-on-one work is so effective, but working in groups has allowed me to have a much broader reach.
One particular client on this most recent nutrition journey has lost 16 lbs!
But, even more importantly, has made a huge shift and invested in completely transforming his pantry with new healthy alternatives that will last long after this journey is over!
CAN YOU SAY SOMETHING ABOUT BEING PART OF THE ITN FAMILY?
I love listening to Shawn from The Model Health Show.
He was discussing how he partnered with Cynthia, so I did some research and fell in love with what the Institute of Transformational Nutrition stood for and knew this was a perfect match.
I am not very far into my schooling but have learned so much thus far. The business pieces added in along the way were a pleasant surprise, as well.
I love love love the Student Community — everyone is so helpful and supportive!
WORK WITH CHRISTINA
I’m currently finishing a 6-week Online Nutrition Journey. These six weeks will be centered around meal prepping and balanced, clean meals.
I created the 6-Week Online Nutrition Journey to empower my clients to make better decisions around food choices and to fuel their bodies by teaching them how to bulk meal prep. I’ll also be hosting another 6-Week Nutrition Journey this fall!
I also post a lot of recipes and tutorials on my Instagram as freebies.
