ITN Graduate, Leslie Harrington, is a Certified Transformational Nutrition Coach (CTNC) who has a passion for coaching and working one-on-one with clients who have health conditions ranging from diabetes and blood sugar conditions to gut health and hormone balance issues.
But Leslie wasn’t always this passionate about health.
In 2009, Leslie was drugged after someone slipped something into her drink.
After this, she was diagnosed with pre-diabetes and Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrom (POTS), two health conditions that caused her to struggle in her daily life.
She turned to traditional medicine for help but realized that if she wanted to truly heal herself, she needed to take her health into her own hands and become her own advocate.
So, Leslie set out to educate herself about proper health and nutrition and enrolled at ITN.
“In my search for a nutrition coaching program, what I loved about ITN were the spiritual and psychological aspects of coaching (and of course, the amazing team!). I have found in my coaching that these factors have proven to be most beneficial to my client cases, as it is never simply about food.
Working in a busy Functional Medicine Practice, the cases are complex, and the people are often on restrictive diets before they even arrive, so being able to apply the skills ITN teaches outside of nutrition has been a powerful part of my success as a coach. This, in turn, has given me the confidence to expand my reach and create a new career I can be passionate about.” – Leslie Harrington
Leslie graduated from ITN in December of 2015, taking an interest in pre-diabetes and reversing high blood sugar by creating an online program called Your Blood Sugar Bootcamp.
This program is geared toward people who are told their blood sugar is higher than normal but don’t understand what to do with that information or where to begin in reversing their conditions.
She also works as a CTNC in a Functional Medicine Practice and loves working one-on-one with her clients to help them achieve real results.
In addition to her busy career, Leslie has spent time on the air for a local radio station with her own show, Quality Living with Leslie, to help debunk myths and clear up confusion about what’s considered “healthy” and is an avid spokesperson for the American Diabetes Association.
Leslie uses the American Diabetes Association as a platform to help deliver more accurate messages of wellness and diabetes prevention that are lacking, and she speaks on these topics to a variety of organizations including schools, business, and hospitals.
But that’s not all!
Leslie also hosts Corporate Wellness Programs, weekend intensive workshops, and has been busy expanding the organization she founded in her mother’s name, Love Like Laurice, a natural diabetes organization with a mission to impact 1 billion people over the next 10 years by providing the latest independent research, education, and resources related to diabetes prevention.
