“Wellness” has become a trending topic in the past couple of years.
In fact, it almost feels like you’ll be judged nowadays if you don’t have a complex morning routine that lasts for at least two hours.
But, what even is wellness?! And, why has it gotten so expensive!?!
For example, in this week’s podcast episode, you’ll hear from ITN Founder Cynthia Garcia about a past client she worked with who invested deeply in things she thought would improve her health. But… they didn’t.
The truth is, that wellness doesn’t need to be so complicated. You don’t need to take a hundred supplements, workout for hours, drink green juices, buy fancy workout clothes, or invest in an infrared sauna in order to be labelled “healthy”.

So, why does it feel like that?
Social media and the influx of information we receive every day have altered our understanding of wellness to think first of material things. We think we need to buy our health. New routines, rituals, and regimens promise to help us lose weight, be more successful, and live a more successful life.
However, if we just took a step back and went back to the basics, our bodies (and our wallets) would probably thank us for it!
Now, we’re not saying you can’t indulge in the self-care things that you love the most. If you love that green smoothie, drink the green smoothie! We’re only saying that if you don’t love it — if it doesn’t truly feed you, then ditch it. Because at the end of the day, wellness is extremely individualized, and what’s best for that Instagram influencer you follow might not be what’s best for you. .
