16 Creative Ways To Create Client Loyalty

You work hard for your clients!

Those clients are precious, they are what make your business a reality, and allow you to live out your purpose.

When you strike up a relationship with your clients and start to get them results, it’s no question that they will speak your praises! However, what if you went above and beyond? What would happen?

Well, they would not only sing your praises, refer you to everyone they know (and their mother), and (most importantly) continue to pay for your services until death do us part! (Okay, that’s a little dramatic — you get the picture!)

Make going above and beyond what is expected of you as a coach, and we guarantee your clients will not only adore you even more but be loyal to you and your services for the long haul.

Here are 16 creative ways to client loyalty and make each and every one of your clients feel #VIP!

1. SEND A PERSONALIZED GIFT

Think outside the box to reach your client in an emotional and personal way!

Perhaps your client wants to get grounded and clear before your next session. You could put together a kit to help them do so, and include items such as herbal tea, essential oils, and crystals.

Or maybe you create a “letting go” kit to help your client let go of trauma, negative emotions, fear, or even grief. The kit might include a candle, journal, special pen, matchbook, or whatever else you like to use to release trauma.

Other ideas include a self-care kit, relaxation kit, organization kit, or a planning kit. The options are endless! Get creative and come up with something that aligns with your mission and coaching approach!

2. GIVEAWAYS

Contests and giveaways are a great way to excite people and get them to take action!

Host an Instagram or Facebook contest where you might give away a free package, a package upgrade for established clients, a relaxation kit, a pantry makeover, a grocery store tour, or even a journal.

This can be as big or as simple as you’d like! Try doing these a few times a year to engage your audience and clients!

3. PAY IT FORWARD WITH A BOOK

Think about the books that have been most influential to you and your business and send a copy to your client!

Or perhaps you can ask them the name of their favorite book, and you gift them a hardcopy or gift edition of that book.

Books are a simple and fairly affordable way to make your clients feel special and important! Plus, if the book has action steps you’d like your client to take, it’s a great way to get them to learn what they are and implement those steps!

4. OFFER SAMPLES

If you offer products or nutritional supplements as part of your health coaching business, consider offering samples of the product.

Many times you can contact the companies of the products and ask for samples. A side benefit is that you are asking them a favor to try products and report on their experiences.

Offering samples is also a great way to get your clients hooked on using your product!

5. HOST AN EVENT OR PARTY (OR INVITE THEM)

Do you know of any events (cooking class, wellness lecture, yoga class, etc.) that you could invite your client to as a way to deepen your relationship with them?

This is a great way to get to know your client in a different environment outside of work. You could even host your own party or event. You can create a VIP experience with an invitation-only party, as well!

This is a fun and affordable way to treat your clients and make them feel like the real MVP!

6. HELP THEM LEARN SOMETHING NEW

The more educated your clients become, the more they will appreciate you!

Offer a lunch and learn session. Collaborate with other experts to share their input with your clients. Use your blogs, webinars, articles, and other free offers to help people make the most of your products or services. (And we call that repurposing, y’all!)

7. REWARD YOUR SOCIAL MEDIA FOLLOWERS

Loyal customers and social media followers deserve recognition and thanks. Create ways to reward your clients with special announcements, exclusive promotions, or unique freebies.

You could also create a social media rewards program where your followers get points for various activities such as writing a review, sharing positive feedback, or contributing posts.

8. OFFER AN UPGRADE

Surprise your clients with a free upgrade to your products or services! (This is a really fun one!)

You can select your most loyal customers and use this opportunity to collect feedback from your most trusted clients.

9. NETWORK WITH OTHER BUSINESSES TO OFFER PRODUCTS

Collaborate with other health and wellness professionals as a way to offer services. Reach out to other businesses, such as a yoga studio, chiropractor, acupuncturist, health food store, energy practitioner, and aromatherapists to collaborate and create freebies for your clients and theirs!

Many times these businesses are more than willing to collaborate and may even offer free coupons that you can share with your clients.

Use this approach to reach new clients, as well! Offering these health professionals a unique special for their clients will most likely bring you new clients! It’s a win-win for everyone! Yay!

10. REFER CLIENTS TO ONE ANOTHER

There is no better way to say “thank you” than a referral!

If your clients are business owners, look for opportunities to refer your clients to one other. When you work with great people, you want to be an advocate for them.

Consider an “Affiliate” or “Partner” program that lists your clients with a link back to their website — this is also a great idea for improving your SEO!

11. OFFER A SPECIAL SECTION ON YOUR WEBSITE

Offer a special, password-only section on your website or a private Facebook community for your clients!

This is where you can offer bonus material such as menu plans, shopping lists, nutrition or health tips, recipes, and tools.

Using social media to strengthen your client community is a great way to give them support beyond working with just you.

12. CREATE A REFERRAL PROGRAM

Create a referral program in your business when your clients refer new clients to you! (Which they will want to with all these sweet bonuses!)

You can send a personal card with a coupon for discounted services or products. Or, perhaps you can offer a free session for every 5 or 10 clients that they refer.

This would also be a great way to offer bonus material as a thank you for the referrals.

13. OFFER TEA, WATER, & COFFEE

Since most health coaching sessions require a bit of time, it is almost essential to offer beverages to your clients. They may not notice if you don’t have these items, but they’ll appreciate it if you do!

Try setting up a cute welcome area with beverages or a snack, something simple like a “Cutie” will do!

14. CELEBRATE BIRTHDAYS

A simple “Happy Birthday” card or email can be a great way to let your clients know that you care.

You can add value to this birthday wish by offering a discount or freebie — redeemable for the entire week or month of their birthday!

No matter what people say, they LOVE to be acknowledged on and around their birthday!

They might be a little embarrassed if you sing them “Happy Birthday,” but then again, maybe they’ll love it! Try it out and let us know how they react!

15. SEND A HANDWRITTEN CARD

Following your initial session with your client, send a card to say “thank you” for the opportunity to work with them. Let them know that you are looking forward to working together on their journey to health and wellness.

Also, send cards randomly throughout your time working together. If they accomplish something big (or even little) or have a breakthrough — sending a card is a great way to acknowledge and honor them and the work they are doing.

16. CREATE A CHARITABLE GIVING PROGRAM

People love to do business with businesses that are doing good in the world.

Donate a portion of your proceeds to a good cause that you believe in. You could partner with local schools, donate to a non-profit organization, or have a fund set aside for giving small amounts when approached by a client.
