The Institute of Transformational Nutrition (ITN) is proud to announce our Certified Transformational Nutrition Coach (CTNC) program is an Approved Health and Wellness Coach Training & Education Program by the National Board for Health and Wellness Coaching (NBHWC).
Graduates from the CTNC program are now eligible to sit the qualification exam, administered by the National Board of Medical Examiners (NBME), and become a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC).
Full approval for our school means our program and curriculum meet the new rigorous standards set forth by the NBHWC, which requires numerous competencies to be met. Currently there are only 11 private sector schools that are fully approved.
This approval attests that our students are being taught the necessary knowledge essential to the practice of health and wellness coaching. Eligibility to sit for the board exam allows for this application of knowledge to be assessed at a rigorous level and successfully passing the exam will highlight an ITN graduate’s skill, competency, and expertise. This sets graduates apart from other coaches in the field helping them to be higher paid and more successful.
“The NBHWC certification offers recognition and credibility to programs and schools who are working hard to advance the coaching field,” says Cynthia Garcia, ITN Founder and CEO. “We’re not in the business of outdated, cookie-cutter curriculum that results in cookie-cutter coaches. Our modern-day coaching education allows students to move beyond the average parameters of health improvement and address topics other programs don’t – topics that the modern-day world demands. We’re proud to join this esteemed group of educational institutions and partner with the NBHWC to raise the standards for coaching.”
WHY BECOME A NATIONAL BOARD-CERTIFIED HEALTH & WELLNESS COACH?
The coaching industry is rapidly evolving – for the better. With so many new coaching programs, all with varying offerings, it was becoming more difficult to determine credible schools from those who simply weren’t. The standard of coaching curriculum taught also differed, which from a public health perspective, was concerning. NBHWC created a much-needed standardization of competencies, requiring students to master key skills and knowledge that are essential to effective coaching. These competencies were based on a rigorous job task analysis and validated by an extensive survey of over 1000 practicing coaches.
The certification offered by NBHWC is recognized at a national level which supports the improved visibility and recognition of coaches as essential healthcare practitioners and valued members of the healthcare system everywhere. The national certification will also allow ITN modern-day coaches to stand apart from others who have not received adequate coach training, health training, or assessment of their coaching skills and knowledge.
Coaching is changing the way the world approaches health and wellness. But it’s not just about food. The curriculum at ITN redefines nutrition by focusing on three areas – physical nutrition, mental nutrition, and spiritual nutrition. ITN is also the only coaching school delivering a passion-based learning curriculum that allows you to learn what you love, resulting in two certifications credentials in one program.
Our simple, step-by-step courses also teach you how to confidently coach your clients and build a successful business using proven systems that work with zero guesswork.
We’re incredibly proud of our approval from NBHWC and we hope you’re as excited as we are! We always knew our program was one of the best, confident our curriculum and content were second to none, but it’s incredible to have it be made official by such an esteemed organization.
The NBHWC joins a host of other respected coaching organizations who have offered our school and programs accreditation and recognition. As the field continues to evolve, we’ll be there too, continuing to set new standards and move the industry forward into the modern-day world. The coaching industry is evolving, and our priority is always to make sure our graduates are out in front, leading the way.
Congratulations!! This is very exciting and i’m prou To be part of the ITN family! I will soon finish my CTNC program and look forward to keep growing, learning via my education and life experience in order to support others to aim in this mutual uprising path. Thank you and let keep transforming together!
